This £ 6.4 million project was first conceived by Computer Access in 1993. It developed into a major Regional Challenge project, part funded by the EU, and was then run by ELLV Teleregion Co Ltd of which Computer Access was a founder Board member. The partnership behind this included the six local authorities of ELLV, three universities, six FE colleges, 3 TECs, 2 Business Links and, of course, the voluntary sector. It pioneered how broadband could be used as a tool for economic and social regeneration.
